I have a set of Porsche Adaptive Sport Seats and I'm wondering what's involved in possibly installing them in my 944 (early NA 1984). They came out of a 2010 GT3 (997.2)
Will the rails match up at all? Will there be any way to get power to them?
Thanks for any help.

I can't speak to 997 seats, but 996 seats are doable (the rail width is the same as 944/911 seats). As for power, if your car has connectors under the current seats, unplug them and look for a power wire in the connector. I believe that all later cars had power in the seat harness, but I don't know about early cars.
One more serious limitation, though: even though newer seats may fit and are height-adjustable, there's a chance that they'll be too high, even at their lowest setting. If you have the 997 seats out already, pull the 944 seat and compare it with them both sitting on level ground to see if that will be a problem for you.

yes it can be done. there was a 944 on ebay a couple weeks ago with 997 gt3 sport seats in it. i'm sure some changes had to be made, but they fit. and they looked really nice too

like he says.... as with my Sparcos, the mods required are straightforward....
but, i would suggest 993/996 sports seats. as they'll be more or less, 'period correct' and look great.
