To the top!
I do have that K26/6 turbo available - a tiny bit of play in the shaft, but it was running perfectly when it was removed. The only real flaw is that I CANNOT get downpipe off and one of the nuts/studs is pretty shot, so you'd have to put in a new one.

WINNER!!!
I am impressed, sir. Most people would say, "oh those look like Dugast, but can't... they're on a mountain bike".
You win the $10 discount or a free beer, your choice.

As far as rideability - hands down the best tires ever. Has a bit to them being tubulars to begin with, and part of it has to them being Dugasts. From a durability standpoint though, they're pretty terrrible. I haven't ripped these yet, but I would typically only get 2-3 races out of my cross Dugasts because of the low pressures and risks of sidewall tearing. I do run my MTB's a little higher than cross though, so that helps.
Yeah overall, tubulars are THE way to go on a mountain bike - if you don't mind the hassle of having to glue them yourself. Way more control-ability, and unrivaled stability through hard cornering. Sounds almost like we're talking about car tires here!
