Default FS: 951 Catback for cheap (get it out of here), plus some other things

Stock catback
SOLD!
From my 89 951 (Turbo S spec car, though the catback is the same as any other 951). It's just taking up space in my garage. Come pick it up, $50 takes it. I'm in Astoria, Queens, NYC.

968 Rear Engine Cover
I picked this up a long time ago, figuring I'll do the work to fit it in my 951 (it's not 100% drop-in). Realistically, I'm never going to do this. The piece is missing the mounting tabs, which I didn't think would be an issue since the things it's supposed to mount to aren't in a 944. Other than that it's in pretty nice shape. $40 + shipping, or pick it up in Astoria. Here's a thread with pics of it installed in a 951.

951 Snorkel
Came out of an 89 951 with about 90K on it.
$10 + shipping, or come pick it up.

951 Headers, a good 1/4 header with the bellows, but a crack in the 2/3 header
SOLD
Runner 2 is completely loose and only held together by the heat shield
$50 + shipping, or come pick it up. (If you don't want the broken 2&3, I can ship just the good one to save you some money)

I'm not entirely opposed to shipping it, I just have no idea how to pack it up. What would you suggest?

Kind of like you did the bellhousing... only a bit longer box?

Fedex will take large packages... and dont **** and moan nearly as much as USPS or UPS...

It's not so much the shipping it that's the problem as it is putting together a box that's going to hold it and not fall apart. Won't FedEx and/or UPS pack stuff that's dropped off at one of their locations? I'd be fine with that, but I have no idea how to figure out how much it's going to cost.

So did he buy the catback...or one of the other items? Wasn't really clear if those replies were intended for myself..

Thanks.

Those replies are to you, he bought the headers. The catback is available, we just need to talk about if and how it can be shipped.

Great...just fabricate two boxes together....cut and tape. I'll compensate you for the effort.

Thanks

I'd be concerned about a box that I make falling apart because the thing is such a weird shape and heavy. PM and let's figure out the details, I'm happy to make a box for this if you think it'll be sturdy.

Also interested in the cat-back. Any chance you have a factory cat pipe laying around as well?

BTW: Did you ever make anything cool out of those 944 blocks?

Hey Mike,

Lots of people have been asking about the catback, but so far no one local, which would be my strong preference. If you want to make the hike down here to the city for it, I'll politely apologize to everyone non-local and it'll be yours.

Unfortunately, the only thing I make with those blocks is the self storage company a bit richer. I've still got the one that had been hydrolocked, believe it or not, and I'm still entertaining the idea of making it into an end table. The other one eventually went to the recycler.

i wouldnt bother with a box. wrap the catback in bubble wrap, a layer of shrink wrap, some tape to secure it, and throw a label on it.
