High oil pressure
Hi all,
Since i took my car out off its wintersleep and refurbished my rear-axle, it seems the oil pressure is just amazingly high. When i start it, it goes immediately to the max of the meter on the dash but when it's completely warm it's about 2.8 bars when stationair. The other thing is that my oilstick (is it called oilstick?) is coming out during driving. So i thought, maybe there is a lot of leakage in the cilinders into the carter. So i tried a leak-downtest but all cilinders had a leakage of 10%. I already talked to a lot of people about this and everyone said i dont have to worry about it but I still do. In my opinion high oil pressure isnt bad but i'm not really an expert.
PS, i also cleaned the oil filler tube and put on some new gaskets. And i forgot to tell that sometimes it's spitting oil out of the oilstick pipe..
Thanks in advance!

I found a thread on here about the normal pressure for cold / warm idle. It showed the proper pressure's at cold / warm I think 4-5 is normal when cold? and it should be 2-3 when warm? I will try find it again.

Yes, I've also researched the same thing on here and about everyone was at that consensus.

I think its about 1500km a liter, but i still have a leak at the oil pressure sender so its not really accurate, and there is no oil in the filterbox but just a little bit of oil in the ehh.. I dont what its called, its the thing where the throttle cable is attached to.

I already replaced those.. Together with the oilstickseals.. And i also cleaned it, maybe i can try soaking it in benzine or diesel for a night to get all the dirt out!

High oil pressure wouldn't cause your dipstick to come out. You probably have a worn or missing seal on the dipstick itself.
Your description of your oil pressure numbers sound about right to me.

Its at about 3/4 full (so about 250cc is "missing") so i didnt overfill it, i think. A already replaced the dipstickseals, the one on the dipstick itself and also the dipstickholderseals. Any other ideas? I was thinking about the piston rings being worn out and giving a lot of extra pressure, but according to the leakdown test, that is not the case. So maybe the AOS isnt doing what its supposed to do?

My oil pressure at start up is at 5 and then after it is fully up to temp it goes down to about 3. On a really hot summer day in traffic it might get down to 2-2.5. I run 20W50 oils as well. What weight of oil are you using?
Perhaps your oil pressure relief spool is sticking a bit as well. Have you replaced the oil cooler seals lately? If you have, perhaps the spool is not aligned properly when you reinstalled it. I used a special tool (borrowed) to ensure everything stayed in alignment when bolting it back together.
