Default 944T vs. 944 N/A Interior + Electrical

I have a 1986 944T and a 1987 944 N/A I am combining into one car (using the 951 body).

Is there any difference between the two in terms of interior wiring harness? Engine electrical and ECU doesn't matter, as I will be installing a V8 anyway. Ideally I would swap every single piece of the interior, down to the fuse box. The donor car is immaculate and the recipient is in bad shape.

I believe the only different wiring was for the cooling fan resistor. The 86 has it mounted down behind the glove box above the dme/ klr. On the 87 and newer 944's, the airbag module is located in that spot so they moved the cooling fan resistor out by the battery. The 86 will not have a hole for that in the firewall like the 87 does. On my project, I used the stock '86 location as I will not have airbags.

Thats good news. I won't have airbags as well, so it looks like a it should be a straightforward swap. Thanks

All the interior is identical except for the Turbo cluster which has a boost gauge. Well, I guess as long as the cars both have sunroofs or both dont. The sunroof panel from the 87 may not fit though - not sure.

Sending you a PM.

Be safe, Take care!

Cheers

Airbags were available in '87 so there might be a difference in the harness because of that. I don't know if Porsche put the airbag-related wiring in every car, or just the ones with airbags.
