Default Cooling fans or running

The old 44 has started to run hot in slow traffic. So I checked the fan fuses and both were blown! Changed both still not running, I just looked at Clark's and will check or replace the relay, but I'm puzzled why both fuses were blown, I haven't tried to jump the fans yet to see if they will run but just looking for any other ideas?
Thanks

Thanks, I'll try jumping the thermo switch not sure why this would blow the fuses?
The title should read cooling fans not running! Either I've lost it or the I pads predictive typing sucks or both

well one of my fans is going bad, the fan has a lot of movement so i think the bearings are bad so it creates a lot of resistance and it continually blows the fuse. i just unplugged the fan.

so your fans could be drawing allot of power or something. maybe check grounds?
