Default need help figuring out which front seal is which

Ordered a reseal kit from pelican. I really cant tell which seal is which. I called and they call tell me the OE part number but can't tell me which seal goes where. I dont want to put the wrong one in. no direction markings either.

Numbers are:
HSCR 30 47 7 2 (i think this is smaller)
HSCR 30 47 7 3

Kinda pissed and any help would be awesome.

It's easy. Go to the pelican parts listing like you're buying them again. In the Info (more) it will specificy which one goes where. It also gives the difference in size. Youu can also go to Autoatlanta and go to the parts diagram and it will give the part number for the picture of each one.

It tells you by OE part number what goes where. Not by the part number on the seal they actually sent me. I know the smaller one is on the upper shaft. by looking at them I can't actally tell which one is which.

Side note, pelican lists their suplier which is victor reinz. I guess victor gets them from mks, who makes them in china.

the rotating seals sould have diameter and thickness numbers on the 30 x 5 for example. That means 30 mm diameter and 5 mm thickness. This what is imporant. Clarks garage should help tell you which seal goes where for what engine.

So one of the seals should be 30 47 7 and one should be 30 48 7 ?

Yup... #s 18 (upper) and 20 (lower) respectively

the other 30x47 is the cam shaft seal...

That's it. The upper balance shaft seal and cam seal are the same size. It was just driving me nuts because all the parts come in little plastic bags with no labels and the 2 that came together with onion skins I assumed were the balance shaft seals together.

Thanks guys. I feel a little bit like an idiot.

Yeah. I think my big confusion wasn't the onion seals but the new cam bolt was in the bag with the crank seal. I just assumed that was the cam seal and the other big one was the crank seal.

Just not my day. The Zim's rebuilt water pump had two roll sleaves, one at either end, sticking about 1/4-3/8 of an inch out the back of it and it won't snug up to the block like that. Also spent 2+ hours chasing my tail on the lines and fittings to *** a turbo oil cooler to my N/A car to start out my day.

Did you get oil lines made or are you using some old stock ones?

Bought some adaptors and getting some lines made. I thought I had both the old lines off my parts car and was just going to have them put new hose on it.....but I didn't. Holy crap -12 line looks huges but really isn't. I think the wall of the hose is A LOT thicker.
