I just saw this thread today. I've lived in Athens, GA since I was a kid. I'm over on the west side near downtown. I've had my 951 for about 3 years now too. Donno if anyone has seen a black 951 w/ turbo twist cruising around, but that's me. Too bad I didn't notice this thread earlier or maybe we could have met up. I'm in Indiana for the next 7 months because I got a job as a product validation engineer at Cummins Inc. I'm usually making trips between Athens and Atlanta all the time because I am finishing up school at GA Tech. Maybe once I'm back we could do a 944 event.

Awesome!! The car looks nice in your Avatar picture! It's too bad you won't be able to meet up with us for a while. But please give us an update when you return to home, and we'll treat you with a nice welcoming home 944 meet. ha!

Also, for everyone planning on attending, Joe and I are going to setup a camera on a tripod and try to take some nice photos tomorrow. Sonics at night always makes for some really great pictures with all the neon lighting reflections on everyones cars. So make sure they are clean and ready!

Hey guys, I really wish I had it in me to make the trip to Athens today. Sadly, I'm physically exhausted. 5 days of driving the crap out of my car, with no A/C in 90+ degree weather has drained me. I was planning on making it up there, but after sleeping in my own bed for the first time in a week, I realized I need to rest. That and I have lots of school work to catch up on, and eventually clean the car out.

You guys all have fun up there for me! And I'll be sure to make the next one.

hopps!! We missed ya sir! But you did the right thing, that's too far of a drive for being exhausted. Our meet was pretty successful so we will definitely be having another sometime soon.
