Yup. Thats what i did to the 968 when I put big blacks on the front and put the 968 front callipers on the back and put in a 928 proportioning valve. Brake so hard it'll pull the eyeballs out of your head.

There is no cheap. Become a member and you'll be able to see the For Sale forum. That's where I got the big blacks and cryogenically treated rotors for $900. Realistically you don't need to go there with a 944. Best to get pads that work in the range you intend to drive and a 944 works best by not slowing and if you have to, put it sideways to scrub speed.

Rennbay has a nice wilwood setup for the front of an n/a, not cheap but not horribly expensive. Also turbo brakes are a good upgrade, but I think depending on year of your car, you might have to also swap the hubs/spindles or something.

Stock brakes are just fine for most if not all 944 owners. I wouldnt waste my money. Why not just refresh them? New rubber lines, good pads, and brake flush. Just doing that made my good feeling brakes feel better.

+1 more than enougth braking power for an NA. Jason at www.paragon-products.com can fix you up cost per caliper $61.00 + $20.00 core change or like mention just do a refresh with a kit $21.12 & pads of your choice.I used PBR deluxe on mine for # of years ,great pads good stopping power either cold or hot, minimum dust & no squeal at a decent price.Btw SS brake lines all around will be a nice upgrade. Also do a little eyes shopping here www.buybrakes.com look at the Axxis brake pads.

They're for sure different.

Look on here and on 944 hybrids and the stuff that xschop has come up with for big brake kits. He's got one now for mounting a boxter rotor and wilwood superlites to the N/A spindle or something.

If i was going to do anything it would be the wilwoods, then i would at least be losing enough weight to make it almost worth it. Otherwise, fresh calipers, SS brake lines, full system flush/bleed with ate type 200, new pads and your good to go. Maybe the 944S 5/33 rear brake valve for more rear brake if your feeling spicy.
