I'm looking to put a lexan hatch on my S2. I can get a used 924 hatch cheap and remove the glass.

Are the 924 hatches interchangeable with the 944?

Is it just a matter of drilling new holes in the 924 hatch frame for a spoiler and side trims, or is it not that simple?

Are the hinges identical?

Don't know about spoiler attachment, but the hatch will bolt up.

our black 924 came with a hatch with the thick spoiler, not sure if the 924 came with a think one? my dads one the red 924 had the thinner spoiler on it and he just swapped the 2 hatches around.

everything looks the same on my 86 951 and dads 81 924

924 wing is smaller (shorter thinner) and so are the side trim pieces but the hatch frame itself is the same on all 944 924 models

They will interchange, as has been said the wing is different. My car came with a 924 hatch...unfortunatly the wing mounting holes are in a different location.

I swapped a 944 spoiler on my 924s and all the holes lined up.

Early 924 hatches don't have holes. With a little care you can drill them
