what is bulb number for '94 968 3rd brake light?
I've checked several places online (incl. Sylvania bulb finder) and can't seem to locate the bulb number for the 3rd brake lamp array for a '95 968 - the lamp is mounted adj. to the spoiler and not way up top. Cheers and TIA all...

It's been a while since I replaced mine with LED's, but I believe they're a #76 twist-in. PET shows a Porsche part number of 999.651.030.90 and that there's 7 of them; google didn't come up with much on that.
Your best bet is to go ahead and open it up and have a look. I do know that I got direct replacements from superbrightleds.com; I just don't recall what the bulb number was.

Thanks JPK! An LED upgrade was exactly what I was trying to accomplish. I'm planning to try a couple (or more) LED types from them since good LED intensity in a reflector is an elusive concept....

A search in the 968 forum found my old post about this. I guess it's a #74 bulb, not #76. I'm pretty sure I got the t1.5-RHP; red, high power with 120degree beam pattern. You need 7 of them.
