Default 968 flashing warning lights when steering or driving over uneven surface

When I steer (lock to lock when stationary) or drive over a rough surface such as a speed hump, the central warning light, washer fluid light (bottle full) and oil pressure lights (4.5 bar under load) sometimes flash on and off briefly.

I've cleaned the connections for the battery and firewall ground cables, but I think there must be another bad ground somewhere?

Ran a search but can't find any previous posts that state where the grounding points are.

Has anyone else experienced this or where any other ground cables might be?

Many thanks

Sam

Do the revs drop considerably when stationary and going lock to lock? If your alternator brushes or springs are badly worn it causes lights to come on when the engine is under strain. It would also do the same over rough surfaces. Something to look at if the ground cleaning doesn't work.

Thanks for your advice Mag, the revs don't drop when I turn lock to lock, so hopefully it'll resolve the matter with ground cleaning. Now I just need to find them all, despite the diagram above!

It's possible the locking ears have been broken on the connectors to the cluster PC board and are somewhat loose. At this point the odometer has probably been repaired so some muppet has been in there.
A dab of silicone or hot melt glue might help if you find this to be the case.

Odometer repair writeups will help with access, if needed.
