Question TPS question

Hi lads,

Look been searching the forums for a solution to a problem i made.

1st its 1988 944S

I purchased a chip for her and installed it the correct way notch in the right spot blah blah, also did this at my mate computer repair shop in his room that is all spect out to play with boards and stuff so no static.

Put it in the car and on the first key turn the injectors went off the chain making this loud clicking noise so i turned it off and yelled a bit.

Then said owell just jazz up the old chip did that put her back started her up perfect... NOT.... she now is hunting and I’ve tried doing all the tests that Clarks says to do multimeter the crap out of everything. Vacuumed tested it all nothing bad.

Only thing i can’t get to check is the TPS and before i go spastic pulling everything off just to get to this bad boy is there another way of testing it, as far as i know it clicks like other threads have said it should and so forth.

All the help would be good lads cause its embarrassing siting in the car in the driveway making broom noises

It shouldn't be that hard to get to once you get the air box off. Maybe remove the J boot too so you can see more. That's easy for me to say though since it's all sitting on my workbench right now.

The clarks-garage.com procedure is done at the DME and KLR plugs, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's just as much work. Resistance between DME pin 2 and ground should be zero when throttle closed, infinite as soon as it starts to open.
