Default Partial rocover of Steering wheel

I have been thinking about this for a while. My wheel is in descent shape but it is starting to show some wear on top and is getting slick. So I did a partial recover in Lambskin. It is easyily reversable and will protect the original leather. Feels very nice. I basically just folded the seam under at the ends and sewed as tight as I could in back. I worked with the leather wet so it would shrink upon drying. It turned out factory tight. I think this is a good cheap option for someone who either has a badly marked wheel or just to protect a good wheel. It would be nice to do the entire wheel like factory but that takes skill far beyond the average ability.

Looks like a tight factory fit. If you ever want to restore the wheel, leatherique makes a steering wheel restoration kit.

Any pics of those kits? I did mine just for the fun of it to see how it would work out since I had the lambskin laying around and some free time. Here is another pic close up. The threads you see are the factory stitchin bleeding though. I was really surprised to get it that tight.
