Default Stuck Rings in a 1986 944 N/A

In a previous thread I asked how to pull the pistons and replace rings in a 944 that was smoking alot at 3000rpm and above...it had good compression 160, 160, 160, 150.

So now I find out the rings could be "stuck" so I am gonna try GM top engine cleaner in both the PCV valve and thru the combustion process then change plugs and oil...

Has anyone tried this, was it successful?

BTW we did an in car rebuild of the engine minus the rings...and the cylinder walls looked perfect.
