Non issue on my 951. Rev's drop a little faster but i like it. Havent noticed it being any harder to work the clutch in traffic either.
Only downside i have noticed is if you are on it hard at high RPM and clutch in without shifting (coasting), the car will stall on occasion.

I agree. Definitely sounds like the Spec clutch is involved in this unpleasantness. Sure, having a lighter flywheel will also contribute to the issues, but it sounds more clutch than flywheel to me.

I've got an 11 lb flywheel on my LS converted car and it's fine daily driving. Once you get used to how the Spec stage 2 clutch grabs it's just as easy as stock.

Wow, either we've got a bunch of ninnies or I'm not running as aggressive a setup as I thought. Kidding! ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I've got a Fidanza f/w, cup clutch, and lightweight KEP stage 1 pressure plate. It's totally fine -- i.e., you get used to it. It really improves throttle response but isn't impossible to drive. When the A/C is on you have to pay a bit more attention.
Also, heel toeing is so much better than with the stock setup.
I also wonder if it is influenced by your tune and/or hardware. For instance, I have Vitesse st. 3 and that MAF really makes a giant impact on driveability over the stock air flow meter.

Oh one more thing: while the clutch throw is definitely stiff, the feel and sweet spot are way better with my current pcar setup than with my g/f's 05 325i. Or my sister's 05 cavalier, for that matter.
Unless you get tired pumping a clutch - in which case you should probably hit the gym - then I say go for it!

The only drawback I've noticed with a lightened flywheel is the additional transmission noise when engine braking. There's a little less forgiveness when starting in first, but this is hardly a problem. This is for a flywheel change only, just about all the complaints in this tread, about lightened flywheels, are due to the clutch, pressure plate and flywheel combination.
You'll pick up a tiny bit of rear wheel torque, due to accelerating less flywheel mass and shifting can be done quicker.
