Just had my repainted wheels fitted by Chris W of Exel Wheels in the UK. If you're UK based he offers a great loan wheel service while your own wheels are being stripped and painted to factory standards. She certainly stands out now, with the red wheels being a bit of a gamble, but I think it's paid off? The wheels are a different size front vs. rear, check out where the bolts are in the wheel shots. Tyres are S02s, 255/40 ZR17 on the back and 225/45 ZR17 on the front.

My bad, it's me that's twisted. You're right about the wheels.

Even though I'm not a big fan of colored wheels I do like them on your car.Like mention by Morghen & Whalebird I will check them wheels & see exactly what you got on there.Got the same size tires (tyres) as you got & this is how they look."check the rear".

Congrats, nice car. Can I as you to post a couple of UK specific pictures. Like one of the LH inner wheel well showing the battery and one of the clutch reservoir Under the bonnet -thanks

Just curious to see the changes, never seen this on a UK 968. I presume you have no cat, what octane fuel do you run? They don't have 5 Star in the UK still do they?

Ernie, your car is running Cup Is and mine is running Cup IIs. They have a different offset so will look different in the arches. I actually prefer Cup Is but mine is a later car, hence Cup IIs.

Will post requested photos later today. Off for a meet at Goodwood with the guys from 911uk this morning.

Cheers

Sam

I think red wheels could be like a nice suit. Great for special occasions but I would not wear it to work everyday. Two sets of wheels would be nice.

Does anyone have any pics of a car with cups where only the spokes are color matched and the outer rim is left polished? I have seen it on D90's and it looks good but never on cups.

Looks great, nice Cup 2's, love the coin tray vs the hinged cubbie, you don't get our ugly front bumperettes either.

Thought I'd give you guys a quick update. Having her serviced by Porsche this week, maintaining the full main dealer history. They are doing a 12k service, new brake and clutch fluid, coolant, all belts including cam, new power steering pump, oil cooler housing refresh, lower control arms bushes and pollen filters; apparently a rare 968 option, although I don't suffer from hayfever!

I'm having trouble finding footwell mats that fit, even the Porsche dealer can't work out why the new mats are slightly wider and one of the holes on the drivers side may is in the wrong place, plus the pax side mat doesn't have any holes. Will hopefully find a solution this week.

Bought new side cladding rubbers which I'm going to try and fit this weekend. Also picked up a Becker Indianapolis and Becker iPod remote kit on eBay so will fit when she comes back from the service.

I'm likely to go for Gaz coilovers in the spring, so I can maximise track day performance in the summer, along with a full geo.

I really missing driving the 968, can't wait to get her back!
