Default ET40 wheel on late offset front?

So there are some great deals to be had on Boxster/986 "split stars". They come in 16x6" ET50 fronts and 16x7" ET40 rears. I know from taking a look at other 924S's that the rears will fit my car with a 225/50 tire, or up to maybe around 245 if I'm willing to roll the fender and play with camber and the fronts are within 2mm of factory and bolt right on with a 205/55. I've combed all the wheel fitment threads I could find, but what I can't find and want to know is whether the 16x7" ET40s will fit up front. I'd love to be able to run a square tire setup and not have to dial understeer back out of the car due to narrower tires up front. The ET40 offset plus the width increase to 7" should push the wheel 25mm further out towards the fender lip. Anyone ever done this and know whether it would fit, possibly with a fender roll?

Thanks,

Brandon
