Default 944S DME Harness

Hi guys,
I had a small, not uncomen as I can read on the forum, issue with my 87 944S last year, the Engine wiring harness burned up. It seemed to me that the power steering switch was somehow involved in this issue. Anyway, during replacing of the harness I had one connector left over with no place to go. On the old harness this connector was broken off and the cable was just hanging around.
Does anybody know where this connector goes?

Any help wouldbe greatly appreciated!

I would think that whatever it connects to is within reach of that wire.

This appears to be the oil level sensor connector, location is passengers side rear of oil pan.

...which you probably don't have. I didn't. there's a triangular(ish) block off plate held down with three bolts on the side of the oil pan instead. I had to ask up here, too.

I don't know what the consensus is, but I pulled my harness halfway apart, repaired every wire, and it burnt again. I bought another harness, and I'm leaving that switch open.

thank you all for the replies so far.
I had to verify the cam timing yesterday and changed hall sensor today.
I'll check on the wiring connector/oil pan tomorrow.
