Default value of R12

I have a chance to buy about 20 lbs of Dupont R12 in a 30 gal container. Price would be $225. Should I jump on it or will it come along again. It seems to be a good price to me. What do you guys think?

Why bother? You can buy Freeze12, it's R12 compatible, and it works great in my non-converted 951...

I am going to get the freon. with 4 cars to try to get going I think it would be stupid to pass on it. Hopefully the guy still has it. I have heard of Freeze 12 before but are'nt there some side affects? Maybe not but I am just going on what I have heard.

Picked up my R12 today. Seems to be almost full for $200. Now to start figuring everything out. First is the 928. It would be great to get that working to see how that rear air works. My 83 944 always did work before it got parked for 12 years, so that one probably just needs a charge and maybe a new drier. If anyone is interested in any R12 I know of a guy that has a untapped 30 gal. He wants $400 but sounds like he might consider $300. No affiliation I just ran accross it when I was searching.

Sounds like a good deal. It generally ends up going for around $20 for a 14 oz. can on Fleabay.
