I can't remember, maybe Lindsey? The cross brace is a earls fitting and didn't come with the kit.

Ok, thanks. I hate hoses and wires left to flop around.

Your line has been replaced from the looks of it. The original jumper line had a shorter ferrel after the 90 degree fitting at the front of the rail.

With that being said, if you don't know how old it is..........

Hmmm, interesting. I guess I'd have to pull the existing one to "verify" the date. The elf's have probably put the date in a hidden place. Thanks for the info nonetheless.

I called 1800porsche, gave the vin for my 87 turbo, and they said it(jumper hose) had been replaced. Also checked on any other recalls or bulletins for that car and the two 968's.

The date stamp is only on the new lines from what I have seen, and even they don't last that long before becoming unreadable.

Thanks for the info. I'll call them on Monday. There's been few pleasant surprises (not that I expected many) since this project started. Mind you, this is my third 944 so I'm not that naive anymore but I was impressed that when I pulled the rod bearings out (oil pan gasket repair) they looked practically new. This thing was leaking oil like an Afgan submarine so I planned to do all the rubber seals when I did the belts, rollers and WP anway. It's ok, though since with 122k miles, and the history of my last two, it was expected. Just want to make sure it all doesn't go up in smoke after all my work.

My 86' had a 86' dated fuel jumper. It was printed on the side.

I called Porsche and they verified that the line had been changed but didn't have a date. Since the recall was in 1990 there's no telling when it was done. I'll have to look at it to see the date. Thanks for the info guys.
