951 Side Marker Lights Gasket
Anyone know where/how to source the rubber gaskets that go around the side marker lights? I can't find them anywhere.
TIA

I need a gasket for the side marker as well. at hooked on cars did it take you through marketplacedadvisor? My firewall warned it may be a phishing site but of course that could be a false positive.

No, I'm not phishing. But my store is a very basic set-up that redirects the hookedoncars.com domain to the marketplaceavisor provider. A terrible set-up, I know, but I haven't found the time it takes to build a new site and migrate. This store is not a full-time job for me; please forgive me for its imperfections.
My side marker seals are light grey, not black like the originals. The price is about 1/3 of the original price, though, and you could probably dye them black, if it's important to you.
Seals are included with my side marker assemblies.

You can visit www.hookedoncars.com and navigate to Porsche - 924-944-968 - Lights and Lenses. Or go directly to:
http://marketplaceadvisor.channeladv...96&i=252064191
Regular check-out is PayPal only; if you prefer to pay with credit card, please use the Google Checkout. I usually ship twice per week.
Click on the picture to see more detail. Note that they are made of light grey foamy rubber; in the picture they look a little darker than they actually are.
Unlike the Genuine Porsche seals (which cost three times as much), they are not seamless. However, if you move the seam to the bottom of the side marker, you won't ever see it.
I've sold hundreds of those - either bundled with side markers or individually, and had only one single complaint. If you are not happy you can return them for a full refund of the purchase price (not including shipping).

I just ordered one. Hopefully this tightens up the light. It is a bit loose in the opening. I just need to figure out why the whole right side is not working. I thought I verified all the fuses are good but I'll check again.

In either case, it should be easy to correct.
Let me know, if it works out for you!

The material to make your own is 55¢/ft and available at McMaster Carr in the correct black color. Part number 1430K53 for 3/32" diameter. Join the ends with a dab of cyanoacrylate adhesive.

You need a soft, rubbery or foamy material. This isn't it.

I'm running it on both of my front marker lights. They don't stick out at all and there's no issues with it. The nuts are just snugged down the same as they were with the old gasket material. McMaster also has the softer stuff, but it's the incorrect grey color.
