Question 944 rear quarter panels on a 924 - has anyone ever did it?

Hi guys,

I have a 924 race car that I will convert to a 944. Everything is pretty straightforward. My only question is the rear quarter panels.

Can I use the outer skin of a 944 quater panel and use it on a 924?

Or I am better off using the GT Racing rear fender flares?

I already have the 944 quater panels in hand and I was about to prepare them to be welded on the the 924, but before I do that, I just want to make sure I'm not doing something silly.

Thanks

c.

I installed fiberglass 944 rear quarterpanels onto narrowbody 924. I cut them to minimum and riveted them on.

Search for a thread called "Did you ever wonder whats under there??" by Wolf1 on Pelican. He cut the quarters off a 931 and replaced them with 944 quarters. Looks like lots of work.
