Default Last night someone tried to steal my 951...

Now I have a smashed rear driver side window. And an alarm lock that is broken but on. I think that lock saved the car though, as they couldn't get it to start.

So is there anything special regarding the alarm lock that I need to know (read: need to go to a dealership?) before I call the towing? Cause right now, it won't start as I can't turn the alarm off...

Medski - open the driver's side door and pull the vent cover off the b-pillar by the seat. From there you can reach the connections on the alarm lock.

And I could disconnect it and start the car, removing the need for calling a towing?

Disconnecting the alarm lock (or shorting the leads) will not let you start the car.

I hate people.

Being a victim of theft myself (evil broke into my garage and stole $20,000 worth of motorcycles in 2003), I can relate.

I do believe in "what goes around comes around". Hopefully the next time they step off a curb, they get run over by a Cayenne.

Anyone know if I need to do any other stuff other than replace the alarm key lock to get it to start?

Just noticed your from Montreal, nice to meet you. Sorry for the damage ! That's annoying. Couldn't you just disable the alarm by following this procedure?
