Can someone direct me to a list of bulbs used in our cars so that I can start shopping for high-quality LED replacements? I thought I'd seen a list of bulbs posted here in the past, but I've searched every way possible (with our crappy search engine) and come up dry. I've found plenty of threads discussing LED's for instrument panels, but not much for brake lights, turn signals, side markers, etc.
Yes, I am aware of the issues related to switching to LED's (relays, bulb aiming/reflectors/refractors, etc), and I understand the concerns... but with recent advancements there must be some useful options with surface mount (SMLED) bulbs that not only project straight out, but shine well in a full circle, even shining back toward the reflector in some cases. I'm hoping that a few Rennlisters have already done installs and are satisfied with the results, and that the overall light output is improved while not looking ricey.

Mine doesn't have cruise... FYI all my external lights were converted to leds (i think all but not positive) and my blinkers go very fast. Right is slower than left which is like double normal tempo. Don't know why it happens but it's kind of annoying...

Edit: I just checked out that website again and noticed the Vehicle Bulb Finder tool... pretty cool. Here's the list it generated for me:
Here's what they list (plus my translation to US bulb codes):
Back up light 7506 (1156)
Dome light 6411 (4410)
Front sidemarker 5008 (67)
Front turn signal 7528 (1157)
High mount stop light 7506 (1156)
Instrument-general 2721 (74)
License plate 3893 (BA9S)
Parking light 7528 (1157)
Rear turn signal 7506 (1156)
Stop light 7506 (1156)
Tail light 5008 (67)

The tempo can be corrected by switching from a mechanical flash module to an electronic flash module. I haven't started to search for that part yet, but they aren't all that difficult to come by.

i'm thinking of redoing my driving lights with LEDS and 6000 k Xenons. i would love to hear your ideas. i imagine for our cars, the fun starts with making a new lamp housing. as for the xenons, 6000 K in a proper setup is shows just a slight tinge of blue.

My rear blinkers were double the speed when the front ones were not plugged into the lights (forgetful body shop) So check if all of your lights work because most likely its because of that. It results in one light getting too much power

Its the brake lights.
I think it depends on what LED bulbs you have, and what resistance they are.... but I can verify that the brake lights are connected to the cruise control. I have the cheap *** AutoZone LED bulbs in, and no CC. I think a better quality LED wouldn't have this problem (As most modern cars use the brake light bulbs hooked to the CC as a safety feature, so I assume LED manufacturers have fixed the problem).
