I've heard nothing but bad things about platinum on these cars, and when I went to Zims to buy new plugs, Kirk told me that Bosch Copper is the only way to go.

Agree 100% __Chris your spark plugs should be Bosch WR7CD+ (Bosch Super Plug w/copper core & yttrium add) quoted prize is $2.75 (Pelican).

Dude, you're on your own tangent for some reason and nobody can understand your grammar. I can't read the PMs you send me either.

EDIT: reported.

LIVEBLOG: I removed plug wire #2 (closest to radiator), cranked her up, no arcing in the wire when I've got it cupped and looking almost straight in with workshop gloves... and the engine sounds/runs the exact same as if I haven't done anything yet! We may have a winner (err, loser). Standby...

Copper plugs duly noted- I may go grab those.

And get that air filter too as I said yesterday. And the expensive rotor. And the plugs too. But while you are it and getting to know your 951 do that other stuff as it will need it most likely and stop another one of these affairs.

What happened on #1 cylinder BTW? If they are weak then add coil to shopping list after you check rotor and distributor.

And to answer the question about the drastic power change with just a bump in the road . . . either you have really crappy suspension, or your plugs and/or plug wires are not properly installed, OR the plugs and/or wires are really old and need replacing. If you continue to have this decrease in power, stop driving the car until you can make it run right, or you might lose more than just a little power here and there.
