Is your car a turbo? If so mine was showing coolant droplets at the same place, and it is the auxiliary water pump that is leaking in my case. If you get a light, lay on your back under the car and scoot farther back and look up you can see the bottom of the pump and in my case I saw evidence of coolant leaking from one of those lines or the pump. Mine only leaves a small puddle very randomly but I got a new pump anyway. I would suggest checking the pump.

Edit: ooops just saw your post that you have an NA. Disregard my suggestion then.

Along with the coolant hose connection on the top/front of the head (where the bleed screw is), a drip there could also be a weeping water pump seal. If the car hasn't had a new/rebuilt water pump in a while, I would suspect that after closely inspecting the hose connections/neck on the top of the head.

Default More Speculation…

Could also be the coolant reservoir cap is weak, pushing fluid through the over flow tube.

OK I watched your video from the other thread.

The leak is pooling near the power steering bracket side of the motor on the front oil pan bolt, the belt cover and sway bar.

At the end of the video you mistakenly name the A/C compressor your water pump. The water pump is behind the back plastic belt cover which would require removing all the pulleys from the crank to access.

Check for the leak from the highest possible point first. As I posted earlier, Post #14, the leak could be from the water neck area, then water pump gasket, loose water pump hose clamp or oil cooler housing gasket.

okay so it looks like it may be coming more from the passenger side area. i want to avoid removing all the timing belts unless i have to so unfortunatly i still have the back plastics on. there was no coolant in the housing and from what i can see i dont see any from behind if by the pump. i let the car warm up and it was leaking good and couldnt see it from looking at the pump at all.

since its on the steering and the sway bar maybye im thinking oil cooler? but its ONLY COOLANT STRAIGHT CLEAN COOLANT.

Sounds like the heat exchanger (aka oil cooler). You can buy a rebuild kit from any of the typical online retailers and the procedure is pretty straightforward. It's tight with the water pump in place, but I did my 924S that way, and I've got fairly big hands.

I'm not sure if n/a's have the extra smaller water outlet that houses the thermostat for the turbo.
On my 951, that flannge had warped just enough to show on the floor. Took me a bit to find it. New one is about $10. I also fixed the old one by heating it w/heat gun and bending the mounting flange ears. Made sure I had the new one first. The repaired one is spare.

If the water pump was replaced with an updated pump, it would have the turbo outlet with a new "block off" elbow installed (no hole). Since the water pump is recent, I doubt that plate/elbow would be warped. Plus, that's now there the coming from, he said the water pump area is all dry, it really sounds like the heat exchanger which is a very common problem of its never had new gaskets installed.
