I believe you need to put the key in once everything is removed and should push out

Remove screw 10 to release lever 7 and the lock should pull out from the front. Just watch all the lock springs and keys don't all fall out without the key being in place.

HELP - HELP -HEEEELLLPPPP!!!

What I NEED is in the above referenced illustation is the #9 piece. The linkage that connects the lock cylinder to the locking latch mechanism inside the door. Please look at the diagram in this post....

So I am trying to fix the lock on my driver's door from a 1987 944 n/a that I bought. The idiot that had the car before me had the whole drivers door replaced by the hack-job body shop, but did NOT have the lock and door handle properly replaced and fixed properly - meaning he did not, could not lock the drivers door on this car for years!?
So i'm finally getting around to swapping out the original key/cylinder (which he managed to keep thank God) and I noticed that I'm missing the little plastic connecting peice connects the key/lock cylinder to the locking latch. There's no trace of it or where it went. This is why the guy couldn't lock the door from the outside besides having the wrong lock on the car.

I CANNOT find this piece for the life of me online, on ebay, ANYwhere around me here in Denver Colorado. I found one guy who was parting out a 951 and everything was stripped off this car, including the everything inside the doors. It's just an empty shell. I was REALLY disappointed that there's nothing but a bare shell to work with!

Again, What I NEED is in the above referenced illustation is the #9 piece.

Can someone HELP me and sell me this piece, or guide me in the right direction on where to find it, or what VW/Audi piece might swap out and work - if possible? i would appreciate a decent price on this that's not priced gouged. Help me out please so I can safetely lock my car up and park it in my parking lot once again.

Thanks to all who're reading this!

Please contact me personally and if you have that linkage peice to sell me let's arrange this ASAP. I will remove this ad WHEN I get this peice.
Thanks!
