Sunroof seems to blow fuse... any ideas?
Hya,
Facing a bit of an issue which I don't know where to start diagnosing - so any suggestions appreciated!
So, sunroof worked absolutely fine since I got the car... then, a 4 years later the sunroof motor fuse blew.
I replaced it and the sunroof worked fine.
Then, at some point a few days later it wouldn't work. Checked the fuse and it was blown again.
I'm tempted to put a slightly higher amp fuse but that doesn't sound like a good idea if there's something actually wrong here...
Any ideas what to begin checking?!
Thanks!

The fuse is blowing because the motor is drawing more amperage than normal... it's drawing more amperage because it's working harder than it should. Why is it working harder? Probably needs some kind of lubrication because something is starting to bind up...

+ 1 on that ,to the OP you should take a look at you motor & gears in the rear (driver side cargo hole) you could take the gear apart clean & lub it.At the same time check the relays (brown) & all electrical connections.See pics.
