Default Roll Bar

I am selling my harness bar and making a rollbar for my 951. I work at a race shop that builds all level of Nascar stock cars and has recently installed a number of cages in Porsches. I will be making a fixture to reproduce the rollbars for anyone interested. There will be a bolt in and weld in version. I am going to post a couple pics of the last rollcages we did. Anyone interested just PM me. Paul

This photo... The diagonal in the main hoop appears like it not straight. Looks like the angle changes where it meets the harness bar. It could be just an optical illusion, but if it not straight then the cage should be fixed as it would not pass NASA tech and probably not SCCA either.

Thanks for your concern Mr. P. The diagonal bar did stay in the same plane as the main hoop as per NASA rules and the car did pass tech. SCCA gives the option to have the diagonal in the same plane as the main hoop or attached to the top of one rear brace and the bottom of the other. The cage does both so would have no problem there. Unfortunately in fabricating sometimes things do get a little off. We had a car fail at Nascar one time due to the second door bar on the passenger side being .009" too low. In those cases I of course fix the problem at no charge. I really enjoy race car work and just want to get more into the sport car world. I plan to offer top quality work at a very affordable price. On a side note I really like your 944 Spec car. I apparently have an eye for the red ones. lol

Meh. I've seen better welds on the space shuttle. The cage in the picture is for a rocket ship right?

Beautiful work.

Today I am removing the interior and starting the rollbar (hoop, diagonal, seat back bars, and rear braces). I will remove it when tacked together and build a fixture to duplicate it. I am building my bar as a weld in but making the fixture to do that style and one that bolts in using the 6 seat belt bolts as per a request from a gentleman wanting one. I can make the rear braces bolt on or welded. That will be some of the different options for the roll bar system. As for the gentlemen who have inquired I will do full cages in any type car (the pics are from a Boxster and Cayman) with any custom work needed. I do need the car for that and will be able to complete each individual job within 1 to 3 weeks. I will only take one car at a time to see that it gets my full attention and is done as quick as possible. Thank you guys.

Also have the option of MIG or TIG welds for your cage. Will do either.
