I'm hoping some of you may know this.
I noticed when I used an ultrasonic cleaner on some parts with chromatic zinc that almost all the zinc disappeared.
Will the ultrasonic bath damage the parts? Are there any special coatings on the valves that can be damaged?

I don't mean to be rude but do you know this for a fact or by personal experience?
I don't know much about this, but I've read that ultrasonic cavitation will erode glass, aluminium, zinc coatings, and even propellers if it is strong enough. Here's a photo of a propeller damaged by cavitation which is the same process as ultrasonic cleaning, just much stronger and over a longer period..
