Default WTB / test - Momo 8013, 2507, 7004, or any 924 aftermarket steering wheel hub.

I have a 1990 Audi Coupe Quattro which is a really odd duck in the Audi world.

I need to fit an aftermarket wheel to my car and the necessary hub is somewhat of a mystery.

Momo says 8013 which is discontinued and nowhere to be found.

Other posts on various forums claim the 2507 or 7004 will work.

It's the same spline as a 924, but the column depth is different. I have a 924 wheel that bolts on, but the back of the hub hits the horn ring in the wrong place causing unwanted friction. Before I start cutting up this wheel, does anyone have any of the above hubs I could at least try a test fitment with??

I have one, but I'm not sure what number it is... when I'll get home after work - I'll check and let you know.

Awesome!

If you don't want to part with it, I just need it for a quick install to try and find out which one will work so I can order a new one.

Except the 8013 which has been out of production for quite some time now or I would have already bought one....

Thanks to v944 I have a Momo 7004 on the way.

If anyone has one of the other two, let me know in case this doesn't work.

I have an 8010, which is supposed to be for the 924, early 944, Audi 4000, Coupe and Coupe GT. I don't want to sell it but you can try it.

The fitment issue isn't just the splines but also the turn signal cancel.

I'll be damned, thought I checked UK Ebay. Doesn't list US shipping....am I blind or I don't see where to contact the seller???

They don't have one. Quite a few places still have it on their web site but it's been out of production for a long time and they haven't updated their page.

Funny thing is, I store my CQ in summer, only drive it in winter. Why not have a dedicated sports car for snow??

Down the page a little bit, inside the "XENON" part, on the right hand side there is a "contact seller" link

They also say they have customers in the US, so I assume they'll ship here. Though I haven't bought from this exact seller, I have bought a few things for the 944 from ebay UK, and none of the sellers had a problem shipping to the US.

As popular as they are/were as rally cars, I can't believe its this difficult finding a momo hub. Perhaps search a rally forum for your needed parts. "ScottatTeamHarco" over on RW could probably help you out with some places to look.

Having one for winter is a great idea. I know there are a few companies that make the super skinny rally wheels for them. Throw some studded snow tires on it, the giant "group B" mud flaps, and rip up some back roads!!

I was looking for one to turn into a rally car. There are more rally cross events close to me, than DEs. My plan was to keep the 944 a street car, and have a CQ for rally cross'. But, as you know, CQ are hard to find, and usually when you do, they've already been rolled down a mountain by the previous rally enthusiast.

Like I said before, it's not spline that's the issue, it's the trim around it that's unique on the CQ and one other model that effects the horn and turn signals. Not much of an issue on a rally car.

If I wanted to cut up the 924 wheel I have or modify the interior trim, it would work. But then I would have to fabricate up a horn ring and something to cancel the turn signals. For once I would like to buy something "off the shelf" that works....

I have a 8013 if you still looking for one.
