Running lights don't work...please help!!
Hi all,
I had my battery charger hooked up to the car and switched it from 6v to 12v and if I remember correctly the running lights all turned off at this moment. They were working and now no running lights work at all.
None of the fuses are blown nor are they getting any power at the fuse box. I feel like there may another fuse somewhere or something that is blown prior to the fuse box not allowing power to get to that point.
Does anyone know if there is anything else I can look for??? It's been a year since I've driven my car and will drive it tomorrow but have no running lights in the rear so I cannot drive at night.
Thank you all very much.

Hi all, I believe my ignition switch is not sending power to light switch for the running lights. I want to jumper power from another source to the light switch to test and see if this is the case.
Does anyone know which prong on the light switch is receiving power for the running lights? Also, is this a 5v or 12v power source that is needed?
Thank you gurus!!

I don't know which prong it is, but a new headlight switch is not that expensive (10 bucks). Also you could try pulling the headlight switch off and looking at it to see if you have any corrosion. Have you checked the obvious stuff, like grounds and making sure you have the right light bulbs in there? Do your turn signals work? Do your hazards work? is the whole back end just not turning on, even the side running lights or is it specific lights? When the brake is on, do the rear brake lights light up? Do any others light up?
Electrical gremlins are fun aren't they?

Ignition switch doesn't control the running lights. You can turn them on anytime, eh?
The lights are 12V, as is most of the rest of the system. Why did you have your charger at 6V? Is your battery still putting out 12V? Did you have stuff disconnected while it was sitting for a year?
