Default Why is my Cat piping 2.0" OD?

I am replacing my cat with a muffler and bought a 2.25" inlet outlet hushpower HP-2.
I just searched the boards and pelican and everyone said that 2.25" would be the right size.
My cat was a DEC system from the headers to the catback.
I found that the pipe sizing at the inlet and outlet of the DEC was 2.0" OD. Is this the same size as the original piping?
I'm just kinda trying to figure out if it is just my aftermarket, or if this is how it always is. Either way I'm returning it and getting a 2.0" hushpower from amazon.
