Default Hood Badge/emblem

Ok so I am repainting my 944 one area at a time and I am at the nose and I pried the hood emblem up (it was only held in with rubber gommits?) no nuts? is this normal? and are all Porsche hood badges like this?
I want to get a new one (old one is a bit worn and dull) but don't want a problem with fitment or connections.

Yup, normal. At least for my early car. Since you can't get the the other side a nut is impossible.

Same on my 1989....just push fit into the grommets.

On my 911, it is attached with speed nuts, as you can get to the rear of the badge.

Cheers,

Geoff.

mine had rubber grommets as well and i got jacked! so my new one i also warped the pegs slightly to make it damn near impossible to get it off with out removing the entire nose.
