Default Rear defroster resistance????

So my rear defroster does not work.. All voltages are correct, relay and fuses are fine, and the hatch shocks are correct. I think the problem is too high a resistance through the heater elements on the hatch window... I get 30K ohms across the hatch defroster heater grid... Anyone know what the resistance should be? Is there fix that can be done?

Thanks for your response!

Yeah i would say your resistance is wrong, I measured the grid on an S2 and an S and they both read .7 to .8 ohms of resistance.

Try that out. Mine isn't working either and that's the first thing I'm doing tomorrow.

Thanks Shane!

I took a look and since the resistance should be 7-8 ohms and I have 30K ohms, the grid is the problem.... Am I SOL???

I think there's conductive paint of some sort available that you can use to repair the grid. I don't know any brands, though.

resolder the lugs, a bad joint could cause a lot of resistance.
