Default Fain switch tripping at higher temp (maybe)

After a slow 1 year project to put my 84 NA back together I noticed my radiator fan switch trips (high speed) on when the temp gauge is just below the hot endzone and off at just below the 3/4 line. I think before the trip temps were cooler than that.

Part of my maintenance was a new turbo style water pump and I do not remember what thermostat the guys at Pelican fixed me up with. This is only an issue at idle, while moving the needle is about middle gauge.

Is this something to be concerned about?
