Default park brake adjustment

does anyone know if the screwdriver adjustment is the same direction on both left and right wheels? For example, if I insert the screwdriver with the handle up and then pull down, will that tighten or loosen the star wheel? Is it the same for both sides?

This is always a problem as you can fit the adjusters two ways. I turn them all the way one way and if that doesn't lock the brakes I go the other way, or I take the disk off and do a visual.

I do it the same way MAGK does, but it all eventually ends with an fine adjustment of the parking brake cable by the driver's seat. Clark's Garage has a simple write up, though direction is not noted. You have to determine which way is which, and then write it down in your Porsche notebook for the next time!!!

The passenger's side is up for tighter. I only remember this because I just did it.

I have no recollection on the other side, so maybe you can tell us once you've done it so I can forget again.

For future reference, up is tighter for both on an early car. Just did it yesterday.
