Great stuff! Well done.

I drove mine from Nashville to Dallas a year ago now when I bought it- didn't miss a beat that day.

I backed my car out of the garage and washed it. I then put it back in the garage.

It only took a DME relay, a timing belt, and a quart of oil.

I've done a good few 12-14 hour drives in the 951, zero issues. If I didn't have to stop to refuel (the car and myself) I don't think it would ever stop It's funny how we hesitate to do 12 hours in a car, but we don't find it remarkable when the same car does 12 x 1 hour trips - which is a lot harder on the car! Long trips are easy.

Back in 2008 I went to a military school in Virginia. I drove my '99 Camaro out there from Tucson. While I was there (a couple months) I traded the Camaro for my '88 924S. I knew practically nothing about it. I did some simple maintenance (fluid change, etc.) Stuffed all my luggage in it, and drove it all the way back to Arizona, taking a southern route throigh Louisiana and Houston to visit a friend.

Never missed a beat, ran like a champ all the way home. It was a great drive.

Gone back and forth from Montana to Virginia, and then back and forth from Las Vegas to Virginia a couple of times too. But I guess that doesn't count because that was when my 951 was brand new.

Knocked off another trip up to Chicago in my car, only 2,700 miles this time. More impressive is that since the 4,000 mile trip last year, all I've done to the car is drive it, wash and wax it, and do an oil change. Not a single bit of maintenance required. I averaged 29.3 mpg overall, high of 31.8 on one tankful. To tell the truth, I'm kind of at a point of selling the car "just because", but I don't know what I could get to top this one, and with this kind of performance, it's hard to justify.
