Beating 996 and 997 GT3's on a track is a good excuse to make people hate 944 even more.
i'm ok with this, its so fun.

I always thought the 80's 911 was rather archaic in terms of driving dynamics and interior layout/design when compared to the 944's of its day. The big truck like shifter coming out of the floor and the pedals coming up through the floor board always made me feel like I was driving my Grandpa's pickup truck. No doubt the 80's 911 is a beautiful car, but how it drove turned me off enough to never really lust after one. Seeing 80's 911 prices kinda makes we wish I fell in love with it though...

Dan, I am with you on the 80s 911 cars. I like them, but not nearly as much as my car and to think I could have bought a nice one for the same money as my 951. Oh well you just can't predict what is going to be worth money.
