I have been been looking into various options to have one of my spare dashes recovered and was wondering if anyone has one from 944online? The picture on their site doesn't really show it so I would just like to have some real life feedback if someone has one.

I'm guessing Bob does the dash for 944Online anyway, he supplies their carpet kits. May be cheaper to go direct, he has lots of pics on his website to.
The recover sounds like a fairly detailed process, removing the stock material, there is padding underneath that will/may rip when you remove the original cover, it needs to be smoothed out or a new padding is needed on the dash. Then you have the vent holes to deal with cleanly, etc.
I'm going to tackle the dash next spring, for how I'm getting the center console done (black Alcantara w/red stitching). I'll let you know how the quality is from Bob, should be top notch from what I've read.

There are directions proved with the kit and they do a good job of describing how to do it. Clarks garage has a step by step on removal and reinstallation of the dash, that takes about an hour maybe two with breaks. The plastic dash material is easily seperated from the underlying foam. I used my fingers to seperate and an exacto knife to cut chunks as I did it to not create stress and rip the foam. The only areas that may pull up the foam are around the vent hole cracks.
Then you need to get the surface as smooth as possible using bondo or some other medium, I used great stuff spray foam insulation. Lots of sanding and filling.
He provides a foam to glue down over the existing foam on the top surfaces. You will need to sand the edges to blend into the dash.
At this point, drill the holes for the vent cover, temporarily install it to use it for a template to cut the new and old foam around the vents. Take the cover off and remove the foam you cut.
Then all that is left is to glue on the actual vinyl or leather cover. Do a little at a time. Go slow and make sure everything is lined up. Reinstall the vent cover. Put the dash back in the car.

I had my dash recovered using the 928online kit this summer. I had a local company do the recover for me and it turned out great!
