The circlip goes on the front of the shaft (drive shaft) that sends power back to the trans. Im guess it keeps the shaft from walking back out of the flex disc. When you replace the flex disc with a used cltch and pressure plate you dont put the circlip back in. At least I didnt

Burning Brakes
So can anyone confiem that the circlip on the fron of the drive shaft does not need to be reinstalled? I can't see what value it has other than maybe to hold things together in the assmebly line.
I'm ready to install and would sure hate to have to install that clip, bellhousing etc. seperate form the motor.
