Default bad mpg

my car seems to be using lots of gas not sure what the mpg is but it doesn't look good. the car passes aircare so it can't be running too bad.

I have replaced the air filter, wires. replaced a the cap and rotor like 4 years ago and plugs 2 years ago. i'm going ot replace the plugs this weekend (NGK vpowers).

not sure if I should replace my cap and rotor the probably have 30k kms on them.

my o2 sensor is probably stock I was thinking about replacing that with a universal one soon.

other than that what else should I check. I was told once that my car smells like it is running rich.

I would start with the 02 first if you have never touched it. I believe the service interval is 60k miles.

You should try to find out what mileage your actually getting, the car should be in the 18 to 19mpg range in pure city driving.

Clean (or replace) the injectors and replace the seals either DIY or a pro like www.witchhunter.com
Do you use the small throttle cam?
DME engine temp sensor could be bad. Clarks has a test. Could be staying in rich mode.
Put a locking gas cap on
