Default brake rotor quality?

I'm getting ready to do turbo brakes on my 89 n/a. My plan is to get new rotors for the front and use the used rotors that came with my front swap in the rear. I was looking at rotors at work and wondering about brand quality.

Centric and OPparts - cheapest
Bendix Global Meyle - slightly more
ATE - about double but still not terrible
Wagner - most expensive but still in the $100 range

I use the ATE ones for my 944 SPEC car and have had no issues with warping or cracking. I do not even drill our slot them.

I used the zimmermans on my 924s ($50 each i think) and they've worked great. That said the price was for the early style. Looks like the late style discs run $73 each. Make sure you get the right ones there is a difference, you have to run the 87+ 944 rotor for NA brakes. Did you convert to the 4 piston turbo/s2 brakes?

Paragon-products.com. That said the $50 i quoted was for early NA brakes not 951's. Sorry for any confusion on that.

For late NA's

For Turbo/s2's

I use even cheaper $30 front rotors on my 84 944 spec car. They work just fine. So for a 944 spec car under hard racing conditions even the cheapest chinese made rotor work just fine.

mine are going to be an outside buy from autozone. Not sure what my cost will be because it shows the companies price and then there's a mark-up.
