Is there a connector for the brake light in the body or do I need to snip and splice to pull my hatch? I am having someone come on Thursday and he took a look at it today and stated the third brake light is an issue and needed to know how to get it out. Please let me know anyone that has pulled there hatch.

 

one connector on the drivers side. Just follow the wiring throung the rubber grommet into the body. If I remember correctly remove the carpet on the drivers side trunk and it is in there.

 

Is it behind the side carpet pieces in the hatch area? I have my carpet on the bottom removed. Any pics of it at all?

It is near the sunroof drain tube. If you pull out the rubber gromet for the wiring and get your hand in the access hole under the side of the trunk carpet( near the hatch light) you should be able to feel it

 

Don't cut the wire - it is easy to undo the plug. Just reach your arm up under the carpet in the rear by the sunroof motor. There is a small round connector to undo and then wiggle the rubber grommet out with a flat head screwdriver.
