Well folks I wanted to do this since I install my SC steering (which unfortunately is only available in black). The shifter being originaly grey it did look weird & wanted to match it to the steering. After removing it I first started by covering the polymer Porsche logo so no dye will end up on it (I first use pine-stripes tape to surround the base). Then I start stuffing paper towel inside the boot so they wouldn't be any creases in the leather.Afterwards I fab a little stand using a stand up wooden peg so that the shifter will stand uprigth & be solide when spraying.Lol like dracula I then impal the poor victime on it then started to prep the boot/****.Using__ TANA (product use to clean leather before dyeing)__ ,it's a must in order to do a good job but ( this has to be done in a well ventilated area using breathing protection outdoors is the best, that stuff is wicked & a couple of sniffs your gone).First spray is very ligth ,waiting period between sprays approx 15 mins ,on mine three was needed.Color is Satin Black #15243.I let you guys be the judges with before & after pics.
