SS Brake Lines
Is there any issue with installing stainless steel brake lines on a 944 with anti-lock brakes?
I'm looking to install the SS brake lines from Lindsey Racing, but does anyone have a better recommendation?

I don't see why it would effect the abs, the SS lines don't expand like the rubber ones do so i would think it would allow the ABS to cycle even better as it wouldn't lose energy to the rubber lines expansion.
I ran the SS lines from paragon on my non abs 924s and will be transferring them over to my 944s. I'd say go for it.
Also sometimes it does take a while to get a reply on these things. Try not to be too impatient, this board is actually pretty responsive.

i'll be putting a set on my 944 w/ abs in the next few months.
I've never run ss brake lines on a 944 but I have on several other cars with ABS and never had an issue and don't see why it would cause one.

Im running SS on mine with ABS. Typically if it didnt work with ABS it might state "for non ABS equipped vehicles" But as others have said if you understand the way ABS works it might improve it . Some things just go without being said.

1. They are more sensitive to damage due to kinking (eg by installing incorrectly, rock/bird/animal strike, hanging calipers from them etc).
2. The SS braid will wear through anything against which it rubs.
3. Frayed SS braid will puncture your skin and cause you pain. Repeatedly.
4. SS/teflon hoses do not give as much warning of impending failure as stock hoses. You should inspect them more often. Any external damage = replace.
