What do you guys think of this?
Looks good, sounds good, price good, almost sounds too good to be true. Plus, I have little faith on evilbay products.
The last thing I want is to scrap the hood all over again next year + clean up melt pads on the engine.
Here is my progress...

Do not use OEM.
Dang, is Ideola's price for both sides?
I paid about that much for each from the dealer and they started shredding in a couple of years.

total of $73 including shipping! just received it today! looks like I am spending another $10-20 on adhesive...
I use WD40, some simple tools and many many hours. Here are my weapon of choice:
![](http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_images/4/707/1169/39265584022_large.jpg)
from left to right: bread loaf clamp, juice bottle, milk lid, juice bottle lid, plastic hanger parts, and used sponge.
Yes, my weapon of choice is from the stone age. But I have tons of patient. 7 hrs in total so far, and not yet finish.

The Classic 9 's were nice and had some options. I choose to go the Porsche OEM route which were around $150 for both sides. Mine is a 1986 951. They look a little different than those.
One reason I went Porsche is I had already gone deep so to speak on all Porsche parts when I rebuilt the mechanicals on the car. So I stayed with it. Another thing was my original parts had already gone 26 years so you cant ask too much more than that. They do have the adhesive on them. But I got some 3M here too.
I suspect the ones you got, and/ or the Classics, are even better.
Your prep work looks great. I am not sure that I will have 7 hours in me though. Did you take the hood off?

The hours sounds crazy but its not too bad. I want to do it right. The last thing I want is the pad fall off after couple years and melt on top of the motor because its not sticking to the old adhesive. Beside, old adhesive is extra weight, right?
