Default Replace Caster Blocks in Pairs?

On 1990 944S2, I took the control arms out to rebuild the ball joint and all the rubber bushings are in good shape but one. The passenger side caster block is destroyed and I can wiggle it easily by hand:

Given that the driver side is in good shape, is it acceptable to just replace one side? Given that I need an alignment anyway I am likely going to replace both, but was wondering is it necessary? Here is my replacement:

Lastly, how much would you expect to pay for alignment at a Porsche shop (not a dealer)? Depending on the price I will probably do a few more "while I'm in there" things like tie rod ends, and maybe all the bushings, haven't decided yet.

Ron,

You can replace just one, although it is probably best to replace both especially when changing from the stock/original 944 part to the updated 968 part.

The local p-car shops in the area are around $200+ for a 4 whl track alignment on a 944. There may be some cheaper options if you just want the car pointed straight for street use.
