One of the first thing I removed and stored in plastic wrap. No delete kitor anything. Eventually I will do something that will look more presentable. But for now just black ruberize paint coating in the interior rear from the rear pasenger floor back.

Less weight, more room, higher mpg;downsize...kind of ugly, kind of noisier (is that a real word?). But overall happy with it as it sits on the to do list. I would figure around 88 on the 99 things to do list.

What I do (did) was installed factory leather ones, took out the bulky seat belts and admired the full leather.

Mine are up. I prefer the look, and my kids fit better.

I also very much enjoy the occasional opportunity to put adults in the back seat. Make them crumple themselves into the back seat and then act like they're a jerk for making me move my seat forward a click or two

Bought a gearbox-eating volvo v70 for lovely wife and kid and just pulled out the mint condition linen/script rear seat. Selling rear seat and 2 way power front seats as a set (locally) and investing in some lighter fixed back seats. It felt like an abuse of human rights to put adults in the back, and maybe a little unsafe to put children in the back.

It's a fun car, let it be fun.

I once drove to New York City (about 2 1/2 drive) with one of my friends in the back seat. That was funny.

I recently took just the top piece out and I don't plan on going back anytime soon. The bottom half if mostly just sound deadening material so I'm just gonna leave that for now.

My 924S seat was up unless I had to haul something. It takes up space so A/C works better in Texas (whatever!), and it kept my sub from sliding forward.

The Turbo seat is permanently up because that's where a PO put in when the roll bar was bolted in. I'll probably leave it that way unless this becomes more of a track than street car, but the plan now is to make it my DD.

I leave mine up unless I need to carry something. I prefer how it looks with 4 seats, even if the rears are pretty much useless

Looks like an S2/968 cabrio rear cubby storage retrofit.

I was thinking of doing the same thing, but ONLY if I can find the right colors (dark blue)

If anyone has any of those parts in dark blue, I'm definitely in the market.

My roll cage means that I can't have a seat back, and the lower half is useless, but I don't want to remove it because it looks a bit 'ghetto'.

I would love to have one of those cubbies in black too if someone has one.

Its one of the things I like about the 944, with the seat up it makes the perfect holder for my laptop bag / back pack, no need to go to a hatch like a boxster, just put the drivers seat forward and go

I use to keep the rear seat down since I was constantly hauling my bike around. The rear seat was removed and replaced with regular automotive carpet when I put the Redline harness bar in.

The one in my car was dark blue. It was pretty nasty when I got it. Stripped the carpet and recovered the doors in leather. If you can find one, there's no reason not to get it just because it's the wrong color.
